History
GRANITE INTERNATIONAL REINSURANCE BROKERS, INC. (GRANITE RE) - a 100% Filipino-owned company was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on August 12, 1993. On October 8th, 1993, the Insurance Commission granted Granite Re, its Certificate of Authority as reinsurance broker.
On January 1st, 1998 the management of Granite Re was reinforced by the active participation of Constancio B. Diaz as Chairman & CEO and was joined by Carlito C. Gimena as President & General Manager. They brought with them a wealth of experience in both direct and reinsurance marketing and underwriting Treaty (Proportional/Non-Proportional) and Facultative. This partnership created a synergy that puts Granite Re services one of the most sought after in the market.
